I can't say enough about how much we loved
MCPKA! Miss Cheyenne took care of our daughter like she was her own child and she was so compassionate and understanding. My daughter attended both Pre-K and Kindergarten here and she loved every minute of it. She was excited to learn something new and looked forward to going to school everyday. The small class sizes and 1:1 attention she received at MCPKA was extremely valuable! If you're looking for a safe, nurturing environment for your child, I'd highly recommend MCPKA! -Harry Family

Wow, did we hit the jackpot with Miss Cheyenne's Pre-K Academy! Not only does our son have fun while he is there, but he has flourished academically and socially too. We love how the children are engaged in themed activities throughout the day that help them grow and learn in such a positive way. We were hoping to find a place that would prepare our son for kindergarten and Miss Cheyenne's has definitely been that place! With Cheyenne's teaching, my son will be entering kindergarten knowing his letters, sounds, numbers and even reading books! I cannot say enough about this Academy. Nothing builds more confidence than having someone laugh at your jokes. Our seemingly shy son is actually a quirky comedian and he felt comfortable, too much so at times, sharing that with Miss Cheyenne. This school is also academically focused. We believe there's a time to play and a time to learn. The two often intertwine at Miss Cheyenne's but there is a baseline of children being academically sound. The literacy program is phenomenal! The instruction is differentiated. There's regular communication, updates and photos. Miss Cheyenne's Pre-K Academy is a jewel. -Byrd Family

A great teacher with an excellent penchant for preparing kids for kindergarten, providing transitional or alternative kindergarten. My 4 yo son thrives in Miss Cheyenne's school, I see a HUGE difference in his aptitude for writing/letter and number recognition and so much more! We started in the middle of the pandemic and Miss Cheyenne has followed all CDC guidelines, taken great care to keep all kids and herself safe. We are lucky to have found her! -Patel Family

We moved to Maryland early August and I was panicked over finding a Pre-K for my daughter. I feel so fortunate we came across Miss Cheyenne’s and she was able to grab a spot! Cheyenne and the other teachers are caring, supportive and encouraging. This is not simply a daycare. The children are well-stimulated mentally and physically and they instill confidence in the children to be prepared for Kindergarten. We feel SO fortunate to have found Miss Cheyenne’s pre-K program for our daughter! It has been quite a strange year but Miss Cheyenne hasn’t missed a beat. Between the frequent pictures, emails, and quarterly report cards, I feel so connected to what my child is learning and how she is progressing. Miss Cheyenne uses personalized, hands-on instruction with each student, and it shows. I feel a great sense of relief knowing that my daughter is being well-cared for during the day, while also being adequately prepared for kindergarten. My son attended this school full time last year in person prior to the school closures due to COVID and virtually after the closure. He was also in her summer kinder readiness program. Cheyenne is an amazing teacher and provides a safe environment for students to learn. My son has improved significantly in the traditional transition to K ways (letter and number identification and sounds, blending, early reading, math, etc.). She's also been able to provide him the structure necessary to transition to public school while allowing him to be his silly self. He is sensitive, but has always felt safe with her. How she managed to maintain a productive classroom of 4-5 yr olds virtually with little to no parent involvement is beyond me. Cheyenne is magic. -Erickson Family

My daughter went to Miss Cheyenne’s Pre-K and graduated 2019-2020 school session. She always looked forward to going and was able to learn a lot for kindergarten! We also were able to have a school trip visiting the zoo. I looked forward to the parent teacher conference each quarter to see the progress she made during the school year in writing and other skills in prepping her for an easy transition to kindergarten. I highly recommend Miss Cheyenne’s Pre-K!!

I’m not sure there are words to even describe just how impressed and pleased we are with Miss Cheyenne’s Pre-K. Our 4 year old had some difficulties in other schools and after meeting with Miss Cheyenne and reviewing what we thought our daughter needed, she said she’s got it. Wow. Did she ever have it. Our daughter is flourishing, happy, highly socialized, does fantastic with transitions where she previously didn’t and learning so much. She looks forward to going to school every day to see her teacher and her classmates. Miss Cheyenne is highly organized, a collaborative teacher and we absolutely LOVE her. Sending my daughter to Miss Cheyenne’s was the best decision we could have made to help her be ready for Kindergarten. She absolutely thrived this school year. She learned so much academically but even more importantly, Miss Cheyenne and all her staff supported her social emotional growth. Where do I begin? Yesterday was PreK graduation and my daughter told me before bed “I miss my school and my teachers” ❤️Feeling so incredibly blessed to have found such an amazing school for our daughter, one that has truly prepared her for Kindergarten without a doubt in our minds. I get choked up even writing how grateful we are to have found MCPKA! We searched high and low, and have no doubts that our daughter was in the absolute BEST PLACE. She’s naturally a very shy are reserved kid, and to see the growth throughout the school year has been amazing! She’s made friends, LOVES going to school, and LOVES her teachers! The intimate and personalized learning experience is perfect for little ones… But the icing on the cake is how much she’s learned!!!!!! My son attended Miss Cheyenne's transitional kindergarten to prepare him for public school next year. I'd heard great things about the school and the teachers, but it surpassed my high expectations. The curriculum involves activities like themed dramatic play where kids interact in a sandwich shop, bowling alley, or campsite. Ms. Cheyenne and her team make the most beautiful sets for the cooperative play! The school has a very organized structure which worked well for my son. He knew what to expect. The learning was made fun through hands on activities and the enthusiasm of the teachers. On Fridays they had specials such as Zumbini, Karate, and Art to name a few. I highly recommend Miss. Cheyenne's school in every way! We will miss it. -Carter Family
