Owner/Director and Classroom Teacher

Miss Cheyenne is the owner, director, and lead teacher at MCPKA. She lives in Howard County with her family and has been passionate about working with children since 2007. As formerly tenured teacher with Howard County Public Schools, Miss Cheyenne has been in the classroom since 2014 and opened MCPKA in 2018 to create a more personalized, nurturing learning environment. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction, with a concentration in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Miss Cheyenne is certified by the Maryland State Department of Education as a licensed teacher for Pre-K through 3rd grade, as well as a licensed ESOL educator for Pre-K through 12th grade. She is also certified in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration. Outside of the classroom, Miss Cheyenne enjoys gardening, hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.

Assistant Teacher

Miss Devon has been an assistant teacher at MCPKA since 2022. She lives in Anne Arundel County with her family and brings a warm, enthusiastic presence to the classroom. Before joining MCPKA, she worked at a local preschool, gaining valuable experience in early childhood education.

Miss Devon has been working with young children since 2016. She holds her 90-hour preschool certification and an associate degree, and she is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is also certified in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration.

Miss Devon is passionate about supporting each child’s unique learning journey and loves being part of a close-knit, student-centered environment.

Assistant teacher

Miss Kelsey joined MCPKA as an assistant teacher in 2024. She lives in Howard County with her family. Since 2016, Miss Kelsey has been dedicated to working with young children in supportive and engaging learning environments. She holds an associate degree in Early Childhood Development and is certified in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration. Miss Kelsey is excited to be part of the MCPKA community and looks forward to supporting the growth and development of our wonderful students.

Substitute Teacher

Miss Charyl has been a substitute teacher at MCPKA since 2022. She lives in Howard County with her family and brings a wealth of experience and care to the classroom. Before joining MCPKA, Miss Charyl served for many years as a para-educator with HCPSS, supporting both general education and special education preschool and pre-K classrooms. She holds her 90-hour preschool certification and has a strong passion for working with young learners. Miss Charyl is excited to continue supporting children’s growth in a smaller, more personalized school setting.

Substitute Teacher

Miss Kelly joined MCPKA in 2022 as an assistant teacher. After welcoming her son, she transitioned into a substitute teaching role so she could spend more time at home while continuing to stay connected to the classroom. She lives with her husband, son, and their two dogs. Miss Kelly holds her 90-hour preschool certification and brings years of experience from her time as a para-educator with HCPSS, where she supported both general education and special education classrooms at the pre-K and elementary levels. She loves working with young children and is excited to continue supporting our students whenever she is in the classroom.
